DavidV
Website Leadership Positions In order to formalize the management of the website and recognize and solicit new volunteers, I want to define the functions performed by the volunteers. There are three functions performed by members: contributors, moderators, and supporters. Contributors include the bloggers, the essay and wiki contributors, and all the participats on the forum. Moderators include the forum administrators, moderators, and everyone who contributors to the rule-making process. Supporters include all Patrons, and others who support the website financially. Here are the functions currently defined. If you would like to contribute in one of these roles, just message me. softwareNerd
Wanted: More Patrons This post will sound like an NPR fund-raiser: "Support from Viewers like you". First, thanks to all those who contribute to the forum in the form of content, money, time spent on moderating and admin, and the contribution of ideas for improvement. The idea of "Patron" members was introduced a while ago. The funds from Patrons are used to keep the site hosted on an acceptable machine. We also pay for web-advertising... trying to get more members to the forum. We could do much more. A while ago, special "premium forums" were created, as a way of giving some special value to Patron members. If anyone has other ideas that might work better than the premium forums have done, or ideas about how to make the premium forums work better, we'd love to hear them. Other than money [NPR would say: "less than 15 cents a day" ], here are some ways to help: - Write an Introductory Essay on Objectivism - Help with the Editor Position - Suggest Ad Copy for our Google Ads - Send us photos! - Add content to the Wiki - Come up with a slogan - Tell others about OO.net (based on a sampling of recent joiners, just as many people join after a friend's recommendations as do because of our Google Ads)
